Paint pickup questions

How much does paint pickup cost?

A $55 curbside visit, or $59 if we carry it out from inside, plus $9.50 for each can up to 1 gallon and $20 for each bucket up to 5 gallons. Paint added to another pickup costs only the per-container price.

Do you take oil-based paint?

No. We take latex (water-based) paint only. Oil-based paint, stains, thinners and spray paint are household hazardous waste, and our paint disposal guide lists where each city takes them.

Does the paint need to be dried?

No. Full, partly used and dried latex paint are all fine. Keep the lids on tight so nothing spills in the truck.

Doesn’t the city take paint for free?

Some cities run drop-off days or home pickups for residents. Phoenix’s home pickup for hazardous waste wasn’t taking reservations when we checked on Nov 6, 2026. Our paint disposal guide lists each city’s current option.

Can I put latex paint in the trash?

Many Valley cities allow completely hardened latex paint in household trash, but drying a can takes days. We take it as it is.

How do I pay?

Online bookings are paid by card, charged when we confirm your booking, plus a 3% card fee. Booking by phone or text? We also take Zelle and Venmo.
