Phoenix Valley Junk Removal · Local disposal resources
Where to dispose of paint
in the Phoenix area
Compare local collection programs, drop-off options and private services. Start with your address and paint type, then check the rules before you go.
This is a disposal resource. PVJR paint-pickup availability, acceptance and pricing have not been established.
Three checks before choosing an option
Read the label
Latex, oil-based paint, aerosols, stains, varnishes and solvents can follow different rules. Ask the program about unknown or damaged containers.
Use your actual address
City limits, trash-service accounts and residency proof matter. A mailing-city name or ZIP code alone may not qualify you.
Confirm the details
Check accepted quantities, container sizes, full costs and appointment availability. Missing limits do not mean unlimited acceptance.
Also getting rid of bulky items? Compare city collection costs and preparation in our local disposal guide. For a separate mattress job, see outdoor mattress pickup pricing and the Monday offer. These links do not change paint acceptance or establish a PVJR paint-pickup service.

Paint-disposal questions
Can I use a neighboring city’s program?
Only if that program explicitly accepts your address or account. Check residency, utility-service and voucher rules. Queen Creek’s Gilbert voucher and Gilbert-resident access, for example, have different paint rules.
Does a partly full can count as a full gallon?
Sometimes. Some programs count the container’s capacity; others use contents or weight. Keep container size and estimated remaining contents separate, and ask when the published rule is unclear.
Can dried latex paint go in the trash?
Some local waste providers, including Gila Bend’s published guidance, allow completely hardened water-based paint under specific conditions. Follow your own provider’s instructions. Do not apply latex guidance to oil-based paint, solvents, aerosols or unidentified coatings.
Are stains, varnishes and aerosols included with paint?
Not automatically. A program may group some coatings with paint and list aerosols or solvents separately. Use its accepted-materials list rather than relying on the word “paint.”
Can a paid hauler use my free resident benefit?
Do not assume so. Some programs require the resident to deliver and exclude contractors. The hauler needs its own receiving approval, including permission for loads from multiple customers.
Does this guide mean PVJR offers paint pickup?
No paint-pickup service, acceptance policy, price or weekend schedule is established by this guide.
