Furniture pickups and cleanouts
Tell us about furniture, mattresses, household appliances, garage contents, storage or move-out cleanouts. For rental or business contents, identify the spaces to clear and the person authorized to approve removal.
Which removal option fits?
Your city or trash provider may fit when your account and items qualify, you can prepare the required setout, and its collection schedule works for you.
Ask PVJR about private removal for items still inside, a mixed cleanout or a property handoff that needs coordination. Share your deadline so we can check availability.
City and provider rules apply to their programs. PVJR’s material and access requirements are separate: an item excluded by the city is not automatically accepted by PVJR.
Start with the property’s private trash provider
The Town of Paradise Valley does not operate residential trash and recycling collection. Its licensed-provider list includes Area Disposal, Patriot Disposal Phoenix, Republic Services, Universal Waste Systems, Waste Connections of Arizona and Waste Management of Arizona. Each property’s provider and agreement determine whether bulky furniture is included or needs a separate request.
Regular carts may be placed at the curb the night before collection and must be removed and screened by the end of collection day. These cart rules do not establish the pickup arrangements for furniture still inside a home or a separate property cleanout.[1]
Identify the property and the authorized pickup
Use the full address when requesting a Town of Paradise Valley pickup, rather than a neighborhood name alone. Before any furniture is moved, agree on what goes, who can authorize removal and how the truck can reach the loading area.
- Tell us about a gate, narrow drive, stairs or long carry if they apply to the property.
- Identify furniture or belongings that must remain, including items in shared storage areas.
- Share any property-manager access window before choosing a preferred time.
Check an appropriate receiver for leftover paint
The Town of Paradise Valley does not provide household hazardous-waste collection. Maricopa County lists 602-276-7602 for fee-based paint-disposal enquiries. Describe the coating, container sizes and quantities so the receiving provider can confirm whether it can take the load and what it charges.
The Town’s older resource page links to Stardust for paint donation, but Stardust’s current donation rules exclude paint of every kind. Do not take paint there based on the older referral. Keep paint out of an ordinary furniture pickup; this referral does not establish PVJR paint handling or transport.[2][3][4]
What to include in your request
- The complete address and item list, with belongings to keep clearly identified.
- Where the items are and the route to the loading point.
- Any access window, property deadline and authorized contact.
Photos are optional to start. We may ask for them or more detail to assess the job.
Items that need separate review
Connected appliances, heavy materials and unusual items need individual review. Removal does not include utility disconnection, demolition, repairs or property cleaning. Hazardous and biohazardous materials are not accepted.
