Furniture pickups and cleanouts

Tell us about furniture, mattresses, household appliances, garage contents, storage or move-out cleanouts. For rental or business contents, identify the spaces to clear and the person authorized to approve removal.

Already outside? Curbside pickup

Group the agreed items outside at a safe loading point with suitable truck access. Describe any gates, long carrying distance or heavy items.

Still inside? Full service

Leave items in place for carry-out, loading and hauling. Show us the removal path, including stairs, elevators and narrow turns.

Which removal option fits?

Your city or trash provider may fit when your account and items qualify, you can prepare the required setout, and its collection schedule works for you.

Ask PVJR about private removal for items still inside, a mixed cleanout or a property handoff that needs coordination. Share your deadline so we can check availability.

City and provider rules apply to their programs. PVJR’s material and access requirements are separate: an item excluded by the city is not automatically accepted by PVJR.

Use your assigned Glendale bulk-collection week

Glendale provides monthly loose-trash collection with residential sanitation service. Check your address against the City’s collection-zone map. Set items out no earlier than Thursday before your collection week and have them ready by 6 a.m. Monday. Confirm the street collection point if your property previously used an alley.

Keep the pile within four feet of the sidewalk edge toward the home, parallel to the street, and no higher than six feet. Separate appliances from tree limbs and green waste. Cut limbs to four-foot lengths, with diameters under 12 inches; bag and tie grass clippings. Keep vehicles at least ten feet from the pile.

Paint, chemicals, tires, construction rubble and tree stumps are excluded. Refrigerators need a separate arrangement: call Glendale at 623-930-2660 before setting one out.[1][2][3]

Plan the route from the room to the truck

For a PVJR request, describe what remains inside, upstairs or behind a gate. Include the usable loading spot rather than relying on the City’s collection location. A photo of the items and the route out helps distinguish a curbside pile from a job that needs carrying through the property.

  • Is this a house, duplex, apartment or commercial property?
  • Is there parking beside the load, or a longer carry from the door or yard?
  • Who can confirm which items should stay and which can go?

Choose home HHW collection or household drop-off for paint

For Glendale’s seasonal household hazardous-waste collection, call 623-930-2660 with your item list to confirm eligibility and the next appointment window. The home program excludes commercial use and lists apartments, condos, townhomes and mobile-home parks as ineligible. Paint and oil-based paint are listed; the combined paint-and-liquid limit is 20 gallons, with no container larger than five gallons.

Keep accepted items in marked original containers, box them by category and label the boxes HHW. Put them at the garage or carport by 6 a.m. only on the confirmed collection day.

The Glendale Landfill at 11480 W. Glendale Avenue separately lists household paint and stains for drop-off. Liquids must be identified; HHW delivered by commercial haulers is prohibited. Confirm your material and charges before traveling. This household option does not authorize a PVJR paint pickup.[3][4]

What to include in your request

  • The complete address and item list, with belongings to keep clearly identified.
  • Where the items are and the route to the loading point.
  • Any access window, property deadline and authorized contact.

Photos are optional to start. We may ask for them or more detail to assess the job.

Items that need separate review

Connected appliances, heavy materials and unusual items need individual review. Removal does not include utility disconnection, demolition, repairs or property cleaning. Hazardous and biohazardous materials are not accepted.
