Junk removal requests in Sun City West

Pickup availability in Sun City West needs confirmation. Send your exact address, the items to remove and whether they are outside or need carrying out. We’ll review the location, access and route before arranging a pickup. The local collection guidance below can help you compare your options.

Planning a furniture pickup or cleanout

Tell us about furniture, mattresses, household appliances, garage contents, storage or move-out cleanouts. For rental or business contents, identify the spaces to clear and the person authorized to approve removal.

Already outside? Curbside pickup

Group the agreed items outside at a safe loading point with suitable truck access. Describe any gates, long carrying distance or heavy items.

Still inside? Full service

Leave items in place for carry-out, loading and hauling. Show us the removal path, including stairs, elevators and narrow turns.

Which removal option fits?

Your city or trash provider may fit when your account and items qualify, you can prepare the required setout, and its collection schedule works for you.

Ask PVJR about private removal for items still inside, a mixed cleanout or a property handoff that needs coordination. Share your deadline so we can check availability.

City and provider rules apply to their programs. PVJR’s material and access requirements are separate: an item excluded by the city is not automatically accepted by PVJR.

Arrange furniture pickup through the household provider

Parks & Sons lists underground and barrel service for Sun City West, with bulk collection arranged separately at 623-974-4791. The provider lists furniture, mattresses and non-refrigerant appliances for bulk collection; refrigerators, freezers, construction debris and large glass require another route.

Stage an agreed provider load at the front of the property near the curb, keeping the street and sidewalk clear. If an association manages shared containers, use that account’s arrangement rather than treating the weekly trash service as a whole-home cleanout booking.[1][2]

Self-haul furniture and appliances have different conditions

Maricopa County transfer stations are open to county residents and list furniture, sofas, chairs and mattresses as accepted bulky items with disposal charges. Refrigerant appliances have additional requirements: refrigerant must be evacuated, the compressor removed, and the unit tagged with documentation before arrival. This is not a ready-to-drop-off route for an intact refrigerator.

For a private cleanout, identify utility-connected appliances separately, mark contents to keep and name the person authorized to approve removal. Include any gate, shared parking or association loading restrictions.[3]

Keep paint out of the furniture disposal route

Parks & Sons lists paint and hazardous products outside ordinary container service. County transfer stations exclude general household hazardous waste, so their furniture and appliance acceptance does not establish permission for leftover coatings.

Retain product labels and separate paint, solvents and household chemicals from the cleanout. Sun City West is not automatically eligible for Surprise’s resident benefits. Arrange a receiving option for the exact material and household address before transport; approval for a resident does not automatically permit a paid hauler to deliver it.[4][3]

Resident paint guidance explains a separate disposal route; it does not establish PVJR paint acceptance or pickup availability.

What to include in your request

  • The complete address and item list, with belongings to keep clearly identified.
  • Where the items are and the route to the loading point.
  • Any access window, property deadline and authorized contact.

Photos are optional to start. We may ask for them or more detail to assess the job.

Items that need separate review

Connected appliances, heavy materials and unusual items need individual review. Removal does not include utility disconnection, demolition, repairs or property cleaning. Hazardous and biohazardous materials are not accepted.
