Junk removal requests in Sun City
Pickup availability in Sun City needs confirmation. Send your exact address, the items to remove and whether they are outside or need carrying out. We’ll review the location, access and route before arranging a pickup. The local collection guidance below can help you compare your options.

Planning a furniture pickup or cleanout
Tell us about furniture, mattresses, household appliances, garage contents, storage or move-out cleanouts. For rental or business contents, identify the spaces to clear and the person authorized to approve removal.
Which removal option fits?
Your city or trash provider may fit when your account and items qualify, you can prepare the required setout, and its collection schedule works for you.
Ask PVJR about private removal for items still inside, a mixed cleanout or a property handoff that needs coordination. Share your deadline so we can check availability.
City and provider rules apply to their programs. PVJR’s material and access requirements are separate: an item excluded by the city is not automatically accepted by PVJR.
Underground cans and bulk are separate services
Parks & Sons lists underground refuse service in Sun City and barrel service for Cross River. With underground service, crews remove, empty and return the recessed cans; keep that service area accessible during a cleanout.
Arrange bulk collection separately through customer service at 623-974-4791. Furniture and mattresses are accepted examples; refrigerant appliances, construction debris, tires and large glass are excluded. Pricing depends on the load and service arrangement.[1][2][3]
Keep the provider’s pile on your property
Parks & Sons directs bulk material to the front of the property near the curb, outside the street, sidewalk and alley. Keep the pile clear of fixed objects and parked vehicles; bag or box small items. These placement rules differ from city programs that collect a street pile.
For a private household cleanout, mark belongings that must stay and identify the person who can authorize removal. Describe doors, steps and the carrying route before moving furniture outside. Identify a refrigerator or freezer by name so it is not mistaken for ordinary furniture.[3]
The transfer station is not a general paint outlet
Parks & Sons excludes paint and hazardous products from ordinary containers. Maricopa County transfer stations also exclude household hazardous waste and closed or full containers containing hazardous material. Taking furniture to a county facility does not make leftover paint eligible for the same trip.
Keep paint separate by product and retain its label. A Sun City address does not by itself qualify for a neighboring city’s resident program. Arrange a receiving option for the exact coating before transport; do not leave cans at a city event unless that program has accepted your address and material.[4][5]
Resident paint guidance explains a separate disposal route; it does not establish PVJR paint acceptance or pickup availability.
What to include in your request
- The complete address and item list, with belongings to keep clearly identified.
- Where the items are and the route to the loading point.
- Any access window, property deadline and authorized contact.
Photos are optional to start. We may ask for them or more detail to assess the job.
Items that need separate review
Connected appliances, heavy materials and unusual items need individual review. Removal does not include utility disconnection, demolition, repairs or property cleaning. Hazardous and biohazardous materials are not accepted.
