Junk removal requests in New River

Pickup availability in New River needs confirmation. Send your exact address, the items to remove and whether they are outside or need carrying out. We’ll review the location, access and route before arranging a pickup. The local collection guidance below can help you compare your options.

Planning a furniture pickup or cleanout

Tell us about furniture, mattresses, household appliances, garage contents, storage or move-out cleanouts. For rental or business contents, identify the spaces to clear and the person authorized to approve removal.

Already outside? Curbside pickup

Group the agreed items outside at a safe loading point with suitable truck access. Describe any gates, long carrying distance or heavy items.

Still inside? Full service

Leave items in place for carry-out, loading and hauling. Show us the removal path, including stairs, elevators and narrow turns.

Which removal option fits?

Your city or trash provider may fit when your account and items qualify, you can prepare the required setout, and its collection schedule works for you.

Ask PVJR about private removal for items still inside, a mixed cleanout or a property handoff that needs coordination. Share your deadline so we can check availability.

City and provider rules apply to their programs. PVJR’s material and access requirements are separate: an item excluded by the city is not automatically accepted by PVJR.

Plan the load for the New River station

The county’s New River Transfer Station is at 41835 N. New River Road, with a Phoenix 85087 mailing address. It opens Wednesday–Saturday, 7 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; call 602-525-5535 about your load. Bring a debit or credit card, since county stations do not take cash.

County residents can deliver listed household items, including furniture and mattresses, with charges. Construction debris is excluded. Refrigerators require refrigerant removal, compressor removal and tagging by an appropriate vendor, with documentation; ask the station before arranging this work.

Do not take a loose yard-waste pile to New River expecting the quarterly green-waste event. Those events are at Cave Creek, Hassayampa and Rainbow Valley. Bagged or bundled green waste follows year-round receiving rules.[1][2][3]

Show the approach as well as the pile

For a PVJR request, a clear description of the truck approach matters alongside photos of the items. Ask for coverage confirmation before staging a load for a crew. If a gate, driveway surface or turning restriction could affect access, explain it for the specific property.

  • How far are the items from the practical loading point?
  • Is the pile household furniture, yard material or renovation debris?
  • Who can provide access and confirm what should be removed?

Liquid paint is a separate disposal enquiry

Do not bring leftover liquid paint to the New River county station. The County’s paint-recycling enquiry contact is 602-276-7602; confirm the receiver’s terms before traveling.

Explain whether the containers hold latex paint, oil-based coatings, stains or thinner, and give the remaining amount. Keep leaking or unidentified containers out of an ordinary furniture load and ask for specific handling advice. Include paint separately in your PVJR enquiry so a regular-junk request is not mistaken for approval to take coatings.[3]

What to include in your request

  • The complete address and item list, with belongings to keep clearly identified.
  • Where the items are and the route to the loading point.
  • Any access window, property deadline and authorized contact.

Photos are optional to start. We may ask for them or more detail to assess the job.

Items that need separate review

Connected appliances, heavy materials and unusual items need individual review. Removal does not include utility disconnection, demolition, repairs or property cleaning. Hazardous and biohazardous materials are not accepted.
