Junk removal requests in Avondale
Pickup availability in Avondale needs confirmation. Send your exact address, the items to remove and whether they are outside or need carrying out. We’ll review the location, access and route before arranging a pickup. The local collection guidance below can help you compare your options.

Planning a furniture pickup or cleanout
Tell us about furniture, mattresses, household appliances, garage contents, storage or move-out cleanouts. For rental or business contents, identify the spaces to clear and the person authorized to approve removal.
Which removal option fits?
Your city or trash provider may fit when your account and items qualify, you can prepare the required setout, and its collection schedule works for you.
Ask PVJR about private removal for items still inside, a mixed cleanout or a property handoff that needs coordination. Share your deadline so we can check availability.
City and provider rules apply to their programs. PVJR’s material and access requirements are separate: an item excluded by the city is not automatically accepted by PVJR.
Bulk collection follows a zone, not the cart day
Avondale publishes separate schedules for weekly carts and monthly bulk zones. A furniture setout follows the property’s bulk zone; the weekly trash day does not identify that collection week. The city’s AviWise system accepts service requests and provides status updates, while Public Works handles collection questions at 623-333-4400.
For a move-out or garage cleanup, group the item list into furniture, yard material, appliances and renovation leftovers. A shared apartment collection area may be managed by the property rather than the household.[1][2][3]
Prepare small items and separate heavy debris
Avondale’s published bulk guide calls for small items to be bagged or boxed. It excludes tires, sod, dirt, rocks, bricks and tile, along with large mirrors, windows and sliding glass doors. Boxes or containers used to hold the pile are collected with it, so do not use a container you need returned.
Before setting anything in the street, confirm the current zone and setout window. For private removal, describe where items are now, any stairs or gates, and the property handoff deadline; do not move them to the city collection spot just to request a quote.[3]
Paint belongs in a separate disposal plan
Avondale’s advertised household hazardous-waste events are for residential waste and require residency proof or a utility bill. They are separate from the paper-shredding and prescription-drug stations at combined events; a paper-box allowance does not set a paint allowance.
The Civic Center event location is not a standing paint drop-off. Keep paint out of the furniture list, identify whether it is latex, oil-based or another coating, and confirm the next event’s paint acceptance before transporting it.[4]
Resident paint guidance explains a separate disposal route; it does not establish PVJR paint acceptance or pickup availability.
What to include in your request
- The complete address and item list, with belongings to keep clearly identified.
- Where the items are and the route to the loading point.
- Any access window, property deadline and authorized contact.
Photos are optional to start. We may ask for them or more detail to assess the job.
Items that need separate review
Connected appliances, heavy materials and unusual items need individual review. Removal does not include utility disconnection, demolition, repairs or property cleaning. Hazardous and biohazardous materials are not accepted.
