Junk removal requests in Anthem
Pickup availability in Anthem needs confirmation. Send your exact address, the items to remove and whether they are outside or need carrying out. We’ll review the location, access and route before arranging a pickup. The local collection guidance below can help you compare your options.

Planning a furniture pickup or cleanout
Tell us about furniture, mattresses, household appliances, garage contents, storage or move-out cleanouts. For rental or business contents, identify the spaces to clear and the person authorized to approve removal.
Which removal option fits?
Your city or trash provider may fit when your account and items qualify, you can prepare the required setout, and its collection schedule works for you.
Ask PVJR about private removal for items still inside, a mixed cleanout or a property handoff that needs coordination. Share your deadline so we can check availability.
City and provider rules apply to their programs. PVJR’s material and access requirements are separate: an item excluded by the city is not automatically accepted by PVJR.
Start with the provider on your side of I-17
Anthem Community Council directs residents east of I-17 to Republic Services and those west of I-17 to Phoenix for trash and bulk collection. Match that guidance to the provider on your actual account.
East-side Republic customers can enter their service address in Republic’s bulk tool to find local options, a scheduling route and the correct customer-service number. Confirm materials and staging for that address; the provider does not offer every bulk service everywhere.
For west-side households served by Phoenix, make a bulk appointment online or call 602-262-6251 before putting anything out. Phoenix limits each household’s pile to ten cubic yards, requires it ready by 5:30 a.m. on collection day and excludes paint and other HHW. Keep household piles separate; do not combine neighbors’ items.[1][2][3]
Separate provider pickup from access inside the property
If furniture needs carrying from a room, garage or patio, describe that work in the private pickup request. Include the address and which side of I-17 it is on so coverage can be reviewed. Mention gates or loading restrictions only where they actually apply.
- Does the collection involve one property or items belonging to different households?
- Who can authorise removal and arrange entry?
- Can the items remain on the property until a pickup is confirmed?
Use Go Green for a separate paint-event enquiry
Go Green is the Community Council’s resident-only paint and HHW event. Listed materials include latex and other paint, stains and thinners. Proof of Anthem residence is required. Business or commercial vehicles, U-Hauls, oversized vehicles and RVs are excluded.
Call the Council at 623-742-6050 for the next event date and the paint-quantity limit before preparing a trip. Describe your cans and remaining gallons; keep coatings separate from furniture. The event’s resident-only rules do not authorize PVJR to deliver paint on your behalf.[4][1]
What to include in your request
- The complete address and item list, with belongings to keep clearly identified.
- Where the items are and the route to the loading point.
- Any access window, property deadline and authorized contact.
Photos are optional to start. We may ask for them or more detail to assess the job.
Items that need separate review
Connected appliances, heavy materials and unusual items need individual review. Removal does not include utility disconnection, demolition, repairs or property cleaning. Hazardous and biohazardous materials are not accepted.
